GILDOR ROY AND MICHEL BARRETTE JOIN TITE FRETTE

The two actors from the popular television series KM/H are the new spokespersons for

the first and largest beer franchise in Quebec.

Montreal, April 4, 2022 – The founders of Tite Frette see their dream come true with Gildor Roy and Michel

Barrette who are now the proud spokespersons of the Tite Frette franchises, a network of boutiques

specializing in microbrewery beers, wines, ciders and local products from Quebec. More than 30 shops

Tite Frette have set up shop across the province and about thirty others will open by the end of

the year.

“A little fret, my Denis? »

For the president and co-founder of the franchises Tite Frette, the commitment of the two actors, very appreciated

of the general public, towards Tite Frette is, without a doubt, the natural extension of things. Their unforgettable

performance in the comedy television series KM/H, which aired from 1998 to 2006, was the

very first source of inspiration for the founders in the creation of the chain of specialized shops of

microbrewery beers. Thanks to Germain's famous line “Une p'tite frette mon Denis? »; taken from

Quebec slang and dating from much longer than the show, this innocuous question is reminiscent of happy

memories for many of us:  

"Who doesn't remember the characters Germain (Gildor Roy) and Denis (Michel Barrette) in KM/H?

The story of two great friends. This TV series is part of our DNA. Every week they went to

us, entertained us, made us laugh. In the end, they looked like us and we identified with them. This is

exactly why Gildor and Michel have inspired us since the creation of Tite Frette. For us they were

best placed to reach consumers and introduce them to the world of beer from

microbrewery from here, diversified beers, full of flavors, resulting from a know-how and the passion of

local brewers. “, explains Karl Magnone, president and co-founder of the Tite Frette franchises.

After a chance visit

A simple chance visit by Michel Barrette to the Tite Frette Valleyfield boutique will have been the

trigger for a discussion that will have led to this exceptional partnership between the two actors and the

founders of the Quebec company. "It's a huge sense of accomplishment for us to have them

with us. We couldn't ask for more and we believe the general public will agree with us.

We are very excited that they will be part of our advertising campaigns, thus contributing

to promote all of our products", adds Mr. Magnone. 

A win-win partnership

Gildor Roy and Michel Barrette want to highlight the importance of consuming locally, especially

that the meeting with the founders of Tite Frette proved to be a natural fit between the values of

the Quebec company and their personality: "We naturally favor local products in our

consumption. Of course, we also like beer. It was therefore natural for us to associate with a

company that offers 100% Quebec products and with values that resemble us: authenticity

and pleasure, that describes us very well! We will not hide from you that we are also very happy to collaborate again

together after so many years! », explain Gildor and Michel.

 

This new partnership will be rich in discoveries since the two actors begin their exploration in

matter of microbrewery beers. They will invite the general public to do the same to discover the offer

Quebec rich in alcoholic products (beers, ciders and wines) that stand out for their high quality and

their distinctive character. Finally, an agreement was also reached with the creators of KM/H to be able to

use the show as a reference, shoot commercials in the original setting, and, who knows, develop

products in his image.
