Tite Frette expands its franchise network in Quebec

In strong expansion, the Montérégie beer producer will add 10 to 15 points of sale to its four existing ones this year.

Granby, February 4, 2021 â€“ Despite the crisis and the pandemic, the young beer maker

Tite Frette knows a resounding success. Founded in 2018, the Granby-based company, which already has four stores in

Montérégie and Estrie (Granby, Cowansville, St-Jean and St-Hyacinthe), will open no less than 10 to 15

franchises this year, which will create around 50 jobs. Its leaders wish to establish a

pan-Quebec network of more than a hundred stores in the very popular area of beers from

local microbreweries, with the objective of deploying 15 to 20 annually.

Tite Frette offers its vast clientele a selection of more than 500 beers per store, including several

custom brews sold exclusively in its network, in addition to wine, cider and products

food, all 100% Quebec. It also has its house brand of beers which is distributed

in more than 400 establishments, including Métro, a number that will double in 2021.

Company already strong and in the future promising

Tite Frette's business model convinced Steve Morency (co-founder of the chain of more than 140

Yuzu restaurants) to invest in it during the TV show In the eye of the dragonin April 2020. “I saw a

reliable, duplicable and low-risk model, he says. My partner, Frédéric Matte, has since been added as

shareholder of the only beer franchise in Quebec. » The appearance on the airwaves of Karl Magnone and

Jérémie Poupart (founders of Tite Frette) combined with the craze for microbrewery beers

du Québec have also generated a 23% increase in the figure business.

After 20 months of existence, Tite Frette had already reached sales of $1.7 million, an indisputable sign

consumer enthusiasm. “The opening of a minimum of 10 Tite Frette stores added

to the 4 existing ones as well as the large-scale marketing of our beers should generate

more than $10 million annually, says Karl Magnone. Our growth strategy is based on

the massive implementation of franchises, supported by a proven system and a support team

incomparable. This will allow us to become, in a way, the SAQ of beer, in particular thanks to

the advice of specialists present in each point of sale. Our vision has also been recognized

by the business community, as evidenced by the Coup de cœur award from LADN de la Montérégie, received in

2019 by the Table d'action en entrepreneurship de la Montérégie, which aims to recognize leadership,

the audacity, determination and innovative spirit of entrepreneurs. Â»

"Proof of the strength of our concept, more than 250 requests have already been received from aspiring franchisees,

adds Jérémie Poupart. With the many job losses caused by the pandemic, people

dynamic and high quality are currently available. »

The four partners have a cumulative experience of more than 50 years with organizations

like Yuzu, Desjardins, DuProprio, Van Houtte and GSoft. “We are passionate, but also very

serious and organized in our approach. Our vision is based on a credible strategic plan. »

A proven model

Unlike a simple independent store, each franchisee has access to better margins, a

hundreds of exclusive products, volume discounts, etc. Moreover, unlike the model where

the entrepreneur is left to his own devices, Tite Frette offers all its franchisees full support via a

team dedicated to franchisees:

• Strategic sector selection;

• Negotiation of leases;

• Obtaining alcohol sales permits (a complex step);

• Construction and organization of the turnkey store (with a decor combining vintage and modernism,

and a thoughtful arrangement of products according to the types of beer);

• Marketing and branding;

• Staff training on beers, wines and ciders with renowned experts;

• Innovation and optimization of the business model.
